What Are Veneers?

Veneers are thin, porcelain, tooth-shaped shells that are permanently affixed to the front of your teeth, where they improve the appearance of your smile by covering up cosmetic imperfections.

Because dental porcelain is translucent, veneers look just like a better version of your natural teeth.

How Do I Whiten My Teeth?

The team at Diamond Dental can use veneers to improve any of the following characteristics of your smile:

Veneers can give you an instantly whiter and brighter smile, even if your teeth have stains that don’t respond to professional whitening treatments. And because veneers are stain-resistant, they’ll keep your smile white for the long haul.

Size and Shape

Whether your teeth have been worn down from grinding or just aren’t the right size or shape to begin with, veneers can allow you to upgrade your smile so that it better suits your face and appearance.

Alignment and Spacing

You can use veneers to close small gaps between your teeth or make corrections to minor misalignments.

Veneers can cover up cracked or chipped teeth to give you a healthier-looking smile.

What Is the Process of Getting Veneers?

Veneers start with a consultation at Diamond Dental, where you and your dentist discuss what you don’t like about your teeth and how you imagine your dream smile. It sometimes helps to bring in pictures of smiles you like to serve as a reference point.

Once you know how you want your veneers to look, your dentist prepares your teeth by shaving off a very thin layer of enamel from the front.

Next, your dentist takes an impression of your teeth that they send off to a lab, where your veneers are custom-designed to fit perfectly in your smile. You’re given a set of temporary veneers to wear while you wait for your permanent ones to come back.

Once your permanent veneers are ready, you come back to the office where your dentist permanently cements them to your teeth. You leave the office with a beautiful, new smile that you’ll be proud to share with the world.

Dr. V and Dr. Wang are both the most considerate, gentle, and caring dentists I have ever met. They both care so deeply for their patients. Very understanding and would do anything for anyone. Both assistants are wonderful as well. Always smiling, cheerful, and brilliant. Before coming to Diamond Dental I was petrified of any dentist I went to. Being here with them erases the fear. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

Excellent service, very caring doctors, sensitive to how you are feeling throughout the procedures. I was nervous about all of the extensive work to be done, but they walked me through the process each step of the way. Precise dentistry - cannot say enough positive things about this practice!

Dr. V and Jorge are so incredibly nice! The practice is very clean and the front office staff are friendly and efficient. They gave me a topical numbing ointment on my gums before starting the cleaning which was really thoughtful. They also recommended a bunch of restaurants in the area to try. I'm looking forward to my next appointment!
